Overview

RankRevenue (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a Shopify application that tracks keyword search rankings and estimates their contribution to store revenue. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you can request its deletion.

Data we collect

  • Store domain and access token — required to connect to your Shopify store via OAuth. The access token is stored encrypted and used only to read your products and orders.
  • Product catalog — product titles, handles, and URLs are synced from your store so you can link keywords to products.
  • Order revenue totals — we sync aggregate order revenue (total amount, traffic source) for the past 90 days to calculate your store's average order value. We do not store customer names, emails, or addresses.
  • Keywords you add — the search terms you choose to track, along with their daily ranking positions fetched from DataForSEO.
  • Alert preferences — email addresses you provide for ranking alerts.

How we use your data

  • To display daily keyword ranking positions and 7-day trends.
  • To estimate monthly organic revenue per keyword using search volume, position-based CTR rates, your store's conversion rate, and average order value.
  • To send email alerts when keyword rankings change (only if you configure alert rules).
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your data for advertising.

Third-party services

  • DataForSEO — keyword ranking data is fetched via DataForSEO's SERP API. Only keyword text and locale (country/language) are sent. No store or customer data is shared.
  • Railway — our API and database are hosted on Railway (US region).
  • Vercel — our frontend is hosted on Vercel.

Data retention

Your data is retained while your store has the app installed. When you uninstall the app, your store is marked as uninstalled. All store data (products, keywords, rankings, orders) is permanently deleted 48 days after uninstallation, in compliance with Shopify's GDPR requirements.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data or request deletion at any time by contacting us. To delete all your data immediately, uninstall RankRevenue from your Shopify admin — all data will be erased within 48 hours.
